about

This is my first album, from way back in 2005. Pre-Karmadog. I guess that makes it old-school. But it was kind of supposed to sound that way in the first place: Vintage Casio keyboards, hip-hop loops and samples, etc. To be honest, I think most recent EDM sounds more "retro" than this "mixtape", but what do I know?
It was made near the end of George W. Bush's first term, so that was on my mind a lot at the time. Some of the titles reflect this, but some of the more dada-ist moments were probably inspired by him, as I thought he was the most absurd president our country could ever possibly elect. Little did I know.

Since 2013, all Karmadog recordings are live, un-edited performances on new and vintage analog synthesizers.
